Future Seniors:  Developing the Total Package for Tomorrow

Brian and Deb Crussel of Lafayette, Indiana are the owners of Personal Touch Portrait Studios.  They have been in business for 23 years.  Brian worked in the field of photography even before he owned his own studio, beginning in high school.  Following high school, Brian began offering sports photography, weddings, and then in 1984 purchased his portrait studio.  Personal Touch now specializes in high school senior portraits, but also creates family, and children’s portraits.  They also do event photography with the exception of weddings, which they have not done since 1992.

With a full-time staff of six (including Brian and Deb) and one part-time college student, Personal Touch will have photographed over 500 seniors, in addition to families, children, sports teams, and dances.  Their average senior portrait order is slightly over $1200.

Brian is always trying to stay ahead of the current trends in photography and watches carefully what is happening all across the United States, not just in his own backyard.  It is so important to keep things fresh, especially with the age of digital cameras, and “weekend warrior” amateurs.  Today’s seniors are quite content taking each other’s “pictures” and calling those senior portraits. So the million dollar question is, how do we set ourselves apart, since it is not just about a “pretty picture” to bring seniors or even children and families to your studio?

Join Brian and Deb to “think about the future” in approaching senior portraits:  It’s not just a portrait; it’s an experience!  Future Seniors: it’s about the total package!
