PhotoPainting :  Using Nik, Lucis, and Painter X With Photoshop

Kathy will show examples of combining traditional photography with digital art techniques. Beginning with  Photoshop you will see how enhancements can be made using this software. The next step will show how she uses Nik and Lucis plug in filters to correct images before taking them into Painter . Have you seen these plug in filters and been intrigued by them? Kathy will show you what they can do and how to work with them. You will learn the strengths and weaknesses of all the software and how to unleash your creativity. Kathy will also share some basic retouching techniques that she uses to speed the process along.

The morning session will be devoted to Photoshop, Nik, and Lucis, and the afternoon

will concentrate on Painter X. Using the latest version of Painter, Kathy will show

some of the newer features and how the software can assist you in correctly

composing your image as well as creating art pieces. Kathy will also show you how to

create a painting in less than five minutes!
