Membership
Categories:
1. Active Member—A professional photographer who owns, co-owns, manages, or is an employee of a photographic studio or firm available for assignments on a regular business basis, satisfying federal, state and local requirements for business.
2. Additional Active Member—Any professional photographer associated with an Active Member of Michiana Professional Photographers, Inc. (MPP).Any employee of or jobber for an Active MPP Member’s photographic studio or firm whose regular position is other than that of a professional photographer.
3. Sustaining Member—A firm, manufacturer, service specialist or organization which has a representative or salesperson who has an active interest in the advancement of professional photography.
4. Student Member—A person who is preparing for a career in photography and who is enrolled on a full-time basis with an accredited college or university. (Proof of college or university enrollment and academic transcript must be submitted.
5. Honorary Life Member—Any person who has been nominated by the Board of Directors prior to the annual meeting and approved by two-thirds majority vote of the Board of Directors. Honorary Life Membership consisting of a paid-for-life membership with full voting privileges may be bestowed on any person or distinguished professional photographer by reason of outstanding service to MPP or to the advancement of professional photography in general.
Application for Membership:
An application for new membership in MPP is made by submitting the official membership application form and payment for dues to the MPP membership director. The names of new members will be published in subsequent newsletters.
Membership Dues:
Annual renewal dues are payable by members on or before the first day of the new calendar year. Any members who have not renewed their membership within ninety days following the beginning of the calendar year will be suspended and dropped from the membership rolls.
