Successful businessmen don’t happen by accident; they are developed over time through careful planning and attention to marketing, building brand awareness and understanding how to make a business.
Becoming actively involved in MPP, PPI and PPA is one of the most
valuable
things I’ve done as a photographer and businessman. I can remember it
as though
it were yesterday: my first wedding, my first senior session, my first
bridal
show—my first day on the road to becoming a professional photographer.
Thanks to the ongoing education and networking groups with
photographers like
John Bir, Dennis O’Donnell, Marie Quick and many others, I was able to
start my
life-long career. By visiting different studios and talking with
people, I
became well-prepared for just about everything that was going to
happen.
Nothing was more important to my early development than my friends from MPP.
I
learned how to increase sales and build my business to
what it is today. I am excited to take over as President of MPP. So
many new and
improved events are being planned!
Even though everyone is busy before Christmas, it is still important to
find
time to spend with your family. The convention in January is coming up
soon,
too. Please mark your calendars for January 19, 20 and 21. Find time to
submit
prints and albums for the competition. This year’s theme party will be
Country
Style. Get your cowboy/girl hats and boots ready for the hoedown!
During the
country party on Saturday from 8-9 p.m. there will be a rummage-sale
with
photography equipment props, backgrounds and other accessories. Please
feel
free to bring in anything that you no longer have a need for!
I
extend the challenge to all of you as members of MPP to
help us grow. Tell your friends about MPP and bring them along. Sign
them up
and give us your feedback. I have a great support team to help me. I
hope to
see you all in
Thank you,
Dziekuie, Na zdrowie!
